HDMI Repeaters
An HDMI repeater will allow you to effectively send a clean HDMI signal over a much longer distance than you're able to using just a standard cabling solution.
All HDMI repeaters work simply by regenerating/boosting the signal from one cable and transmitting it to another one.
This allows you great flexibility in where you can place your A/V equipment. Depending on the HDMI repeater you use, you can easily run cables of well over 100 feet in length; some models support daisy-chaining multiple repeaters for even longer cable runs. Look for a repeater which support HDMI version 1.3, since this will offer support for 1080p resolution and 8 channel digital audio.
There is a large difference in price between the lower and upper end of the market, with some low cost HDMI repeaters selling for under $50. At the top end of the market you can expect to pay over $300.
If you want to send the same audio/video signal to multiple TVs, then you need to look at HDMI splitters. These allow you to drive multiple displays from a single source - great for watching the same program in the kitchen, bedroom, etc. without having to buy additional equipment.
